- The business is the clear market leader in Australia, with an expanding footprint, currently serving >150 metalliferous mines (primarily gold & copper) in >15 countries
- The core product offering includes a premium range of ducting systems and flow controls which are considered consumable in nature by ACI’s customers
- The ACI acquisition extends Volution’s range of solutions in its growing Australasian business, whilst offering greater exposure to global mining customers
Industry Context
The transaction highlighted a number of highly-relevant industry thematics, including the mission critical nature of customers’ spend on equipment and consumables to support & improve mine site safety, the increasing importance of ventilation-on-demand technology in the context of greater automation in mining best practices, and mining operators’ focus on driving energy and broader operational efficiencies in the context of rising fuel, transportation, and capital financing expenses.
